The Fife Thunder Jr. Wrestling Club is a non-profit organization that was formed this year out of a pure love for the sport. Our main goal is to introduce elementary school children (boys and girls) between the ages of 5 and 12 to the exciting sport of wrestling. We prepare the athletes for their future in competitive wrestling. The coaches are NYSCA certified and teach the same rules and moves the wrestlers will use in junior high, high school, and college. The coaches and board members volunteer their time for sheer enjoyment of seeing the kids have fun while becoming better wrestlers. They are also rewarded with the knowledge that the athletes become better people because of the character development the sport brings to our youth wrestlers.
In these economically challenging times, we are trying to keep the cost of enrollment at a minimum to allow more children to participate. Each year the fees continue to increase including insurance, officials, equipment, and the facilities rental. The “Thunders” are looking to our community for support.
With your sponsorship of $200 or more, you can help our wrestlers on the mats today become tomorrow’s future leaders. You, in turn, will receive advertising on our club’s website (www.fifewrestling.org) and at each of the tournaments we sponsor this year. Tournament exposure alone reaches an average of 400 wrestlers plus their families and friends!
As a “Thunder” sponsor you will have access to our website and bi-weekly newsletter, keeping you up to date on the progress of our athletes and club. You will also receive a team picture/plaque that you can proudly display as our way of saying “Thank You” for your sponsorship. There’s no better way to support the oldest and greatest sport in the world! With your help, we hope to keep this program growing and our local kids wrestling! We encourage your participation in helping us raise funds to further improve our community’s youth.
